River Place on Lake Austin
River Place on Lake Austin is an approximately 1,400 acre master planned community including a golf course and country club, located about 15 miles from downtown Austin. The approximate price range of homes in River Place is $275,000 to over $1 million. River Place is considered a quality address in Austin and boasts a private country club, a Tom Kite-designed golf course, and waterfront lots on Lake Austin. Approximately 400 acres of permanent parkland and wildlife habitat has been established as River Place. The property had no more than one completed home when acquired in 1990 by First River Place Reserve, Ltd., and now has approximately 1,000 homes. First River Place Reserve developed raw land into residential lots and sold them to homebuilders and individuals, sold commercial land to other entities, and operated the River Place Country Club and Golf Course until it was sold to an outside entity in 1999.
